In nature, besides gold, there are many other rare and precious metals that are difficult to find and in great demand, because of their ability to remain intact over the time and they represent a valid alternative to gold as a safe haven. Aurum et Adamas SA can supply various rare and precious metals in physical form.
PLATINUM
This is the third most famous precious metal in the world, but in our opinion only because it does not have the millennial history of gold and silver. If we consider that it is much rarer than gold (some say up to 15 times rarer), it is easy to understand why it is often considered more precious than gold.
PALLADIUM
Last among the most popular precious metals, palladium has several industrial uses (for example in the production of catalytic converters). It is also used in jewelry to obtain white gold. Even Palladio in the past has often exceeded gold in price.
RHODIUM
This is perhaps the rarest of all existing precious metals, difficult to find in nature. It is used in jewelry for its reflective properties but also it has industrial uses, especially in the automotive sector. In the past it has come to be worth 10 times more than gold.
RUTHENIUM
It belongs to the platinum group and it is often added to the latter or to palladium to create a harder and more resistant but less precious alloy. The addition of just 0.1% ruthenium to titanium increases its corrosion resistance by 100 times.
OSMIUM
THE NOVELTY OF THE MOMENT
Osmium is a very rare metal (it competes for the primacy of rarity with Rhodium) and is the heaviest in nature among non-radioactive metals. It is used for the detection of fingerprints as well as in the electronics and electrical engineering sector. It is also used to harden platinum alloys. In 2001 laboratory tests found that the Osmium has a compressive strength higher than that of diamond.
Osmium is highly toxic but recently (in 2013) it has been found a way to crystallize it, making it non-toxic. For several years it has been used mainly in the manufacture of watches and jewelery and in the future it is thought that the demand wil, rise up, because of a really poor production due to its rarity.
Currently, Osmium is sold in small crystallized flat bars or disks.

Unlike gold, all other precious metals are charged with VAT and it would therefore be advisable to buy them if the clients have a VAT number.
